Godiva Reisenbichler

Biography

A native to the St. Louis area, Godiva Reisenbichler is currently pursuing her BFA with majors in Painting and Art History at Washington University.

Statement

Drawn from the history of painting as a space that makes the absent present through the image, my material investigations are inspired by the intersection between what we can physically see (matter) and what is present in the world but not visible in the same way (spirit). The process of painting guides these investigations, as I clarify base materials into recognizable forms.
