Bruce Lindsey, dean of the College of Architecture and Graduate School of Architecture & Urban Design, has been named one of the Most Admired Educators of 2009 by DesignIntelligence.
Each year, DesignIntelligence selects a team of educators and education administrators who exemplify excellence in design education leadership. The 2009 class of education role models was selected by DesignIntelligence staff with extensive input from hundreds of design professionals, academic department heads, and students. The disciplines of architecture, interior design, industrial design, and landscape architecture were included.
In addition to Lindsey, 15 other educators were honored. They are:

Tom Fisher, dean of the College of Design, University of Minnesota.
Daniel Friedman, dean of the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, University of Washington.
John Gaunt, dean of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, and professor, University of Kansas.
Robert Greenstreet, dean of the Department of Architecture, and professor, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Denise Guerin, professor, interior design, University of Minnesota.
Theodore C. Landsmark, president, Boston Architectural College.
Tin-Man Lau, professor, industrial design, Auburn University.
Dennis Law, dean of the College of Architecture, Planning and Design, and professor, Kansas State University.
Clark Lundell, head of the Department of Industrial Design, and professor, Auburn University.
